Support: Tech Notes

Tech note FS1446

Description
IIS 4 doesn't list any active log formats.

Answer
The symptom is that when you use the Internet Service Manager (Microsoft Management Console) to administer your IIS 4 web sites, the "Active Log Format" list (on the Web Site tab) doesn't contain any items. (Normally, it would contain your available logging options, such as "W3C Extended Log File Format" and "ODBC Logging.")

This is a problem with your IIS 4 installation. Tech note Q183733 on the Microsoft support site explains how to fix this problem.

Once you've fixed the problem, we recommend that you select the "W3C Extended Log File Format" option. This format provides the most flexible log file format so that you can get the best results from FlashStats.
