Color Browser
Here's a quick guide to the features of Color Browser 2.0:
Usage Tips
- There is always exactly one "current" color. A sample of the current
color is displayed at the top of the window.
- Use the "Rounding" window to specify whether the current color should
be interpreted according to its exact true color, or whether it should be rounded to
the nearest matching color in the browser palette. Rounding to the nearest color
in the browser palette lets you see how the image may appear to users viewing
that color in a browser on a system running in 256 color mode.
- Click on the Color Pick-Me-Up TM tool and drag the crosshairs
around the screen. This lets you select any color on the screen! To cancel, press Esc
while dragging.
System Requirements
Color Browser has very simple system requirements:
- Microsoft Windows 3.x, Windows 95, or Windows NT 3.1 (or later)
- 256 color depth, although you get better results with HiColor (16 bits)
and best results with TrueColor (24/32 bits)
- A mouse is required for some operations
- Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer is required for reading
the online documentation
